I’ve received at least seven emails from Linda written in all caps, as well as several letters, telegrams, and carrier pigeons urging me to write this post. Message received, Linda! Please call off the goons.

Chris here with an update on December happenings in The Mary Jo Pehl Show Clubhouse! Chris here. It’s November. The clocks have gone back. My seasonal affective disorder symptoms are kicking into high gear. Election Day is tomorrow. There’s never been a better time to shut it all down and revel in all the fun we have coming up on The Mary Jo Pehl Show!

The Focus Group was one of my favorite episodes yet, and none of it could have happened without all your support and contributions. It’s August already, which makes total sense considering last month was July. Mary Jo and I had a very busy month, what with my trip to Minneapolis and us getting cancelled following our Secret Jo Night livestream. Just a side note: the recording of Secret Jo Night, in which we screened Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 in its entirety to Clubhouse members, has already been handed over to the authorities. So if you missed it, consider yourself lucky. If you caught it, a reminder to please send any dry cleaning bills directly to Linda at linda@dumb-industries.com so you can be properly reimbursed.

Hello, my beloved Clubhouse members! Producer Chris Gersbeck here with a long overdue update for everyone. Please forgive me and Mary Jo for taking so long to post a new blog entry. Everyone behind the scenes has been very busy. Personally, I’ve been stuck under a pile of magazines for at least twelve days. Send help.

Good afternoon, Clubhouse! Chris here with a long overdue and important update for you! I hope you were able to join us live for The Mary Jo Pehl Show 2023 Shareholders Meeting on Tuesday. It was so exciting to look out at all of your smiling faces in the crowd and remind myself why I got involved with this show in the first place: the attention.

Greetings, Clubhouse members! Chris here with another important and long overdue update on the ongoing goings-on in The Mary Jo Pehl Show Extended Universe as we gear up for some exciting new things just for youse guys. Because you are just our favorites. We love ya!

Firstly, The Cult Robe Contest was everything we hoped it would be and more, and we have to give major congratulations and props to Jacque Barton, Colette Flowers, and the winner of The Cult Robe Contest Jessica Coyle for participating in what may have been the silliest idea we’ve come up in weeks!

Hey gang, I’m excited for yet another Movie Jo Night tonight at 8pm ET, in which Mary Jo and I will watch the 1973 made-for-tv movie THE CAT CREATURE for the very first time. If the trailer Matt put together for us is any indication, this movie will be full of cats possessing humans to do their bidding, a story as old as time! Don’t forget to join us tonight in the Clubhouse and let your non-Clubhouse friends know that tonight is their last chance to catch Movie Jo Night for free on Twitch. After tonight, Movie Jo Night will livestream exclusively for you folks!

The image from Chris’s last blog post made me laugh so hard. There’s something different and heightened when you just take a still from a terrible movie. It’s kind of a jeweler’s loupe on the film.

When Chris and I had our initial conversations about what my show could be, I knew one thing: I didn’t want to riff movies. I wanted to try something different. So, voila - The Mary Jo Pehl Show. We’re not exactly making it up as we go along but we continue to experiment and feel our way through, playing with the format.

First, if you’ve been having trouble casting our livestreams or any of the videos included in your Clubhouse+ membership, I’ve added a “Watch on Vimeo” button to each video that will bring you to the direct link on Vimeo’s website or to the official Vimeo app on Android/iOS where you’ll then be able to easily AirPlay or cast to your streaming device. If you’re experiencing any issues with the new feature, just shoot me an email so we can fix.

We hope 2022 was a good one for you and your loved ones. We realized last night that 2022 was the first full year of The Mary Jo Pehl Show (we began in August 2021) and I have to say, you guys made it a truly special year. Within that time period I’ve gotten to know many of you, we’ve been inspired to create so many oddball things together, we built this Clubhouse, we did our first in-person show, and honestly, we couldn’t ask for a better group of hilarious weirdos than you.

On Tuesday, Mary Jo and I put on the very first in-person edition of The Mary Jo Pehl Show at littlefield in Brooklyn, and it was an absolute blast, to say the least. Our guests Frank Conniff & Dave Hill were as hilarious as always, and the venue did such a great job at making us feel at home. There were book readings, a Q&A, and not a single mention of Linda (a first).

Mary Jo and I are gearing up for our very first IN-PERSON live show on Tuesday, December 6 @ 7:30pm ET at littlefield in Brooklyn, NY! Have you gotten your ticket yet? They’re just $10 in advance but they’re $12 day of, so buy early and save cash! We’ll have t-shirts & books for sale and we’ll be hanging out with everyone until they kick us out of the place. It’s going to be super fun. Even Matt’s gonna be there! His appearance fee was higher than I was hoping, but still worth it (kind of).

Hey gang! I hope everyone was able to make it to last night’s new Mary Jo Pehl Show, in which we invited our friends Alonso Duralde, Tom Winner, and Jackey Neyman Jones to play a few rounds of the classic game show Password! It was a very close game that kept us on the edge of our seats, and we had so much fun putting this episode together for you. We also highlighted some emails you guys sent to Linda over the past couple weeks, as per Linda’s strict instructions.
