Hi Painters, We'll have fun with Godzilla this class. I love teaching some simple but cool effects in the classes, and the fire breathing and nuclear radiation from his body effects are very simple. Besides the paint, you will need an extra paper towel or small rag, a silver sharpie pen for the outlines and a straw for the fire and radiation.

Thanks to all who participated in the poll for this months painting. Gypsy and Godzilla came in for a tie, so I made the executive decision to paint Gypsy this month, and to do Godzilla for next month. That way you know what is coming up in Spetember too.

Well. I did do painting inspired by the MST riffed Mr. B Natural, and it came out pretty much as I had envisioned. What I hadn't envisioned was the unavoidable drying time between steps, and the length of time to create it. I've decided that this one will be offered as a seperate event than the subscription. A two part recorded event so that there will be time for the paint to dry and for the more intricate nature of this one. It will also give you the opportunity to pause before moving to the next step. As always, I will let you know in advance the material and tools needed for painting, and will do a short pre class video to give you an idea of the steps involved. More info to come soon.

Happy Torgo Tuesday! This is the week of our July class and we are painting Tom Servo. Thanks to all who participated in the Facebook group poll. Red, black and white are pretty much all you'll need in colors, unless you choose to jazz it up with some other colors as well.

Poll time everyone. I've got some new choices this month. Very excited about the options and really can't say which one I would want to do next. Once you decide, I'll let you know the colors and anything else you may need for your July Masterpiece. Looking forward to another session. It really is a highlight of my month to paint with you and seeing the wonderful interpretations that are created. Please keep giving me suggestions for future class and I'll keep putting them out there for you.

Hope you all had a great 4th of July. This weeks Torgo Tuesday blog is short because it has been a very full week. My birthday was July 2nd. Then there's the 4th of July and my son is getting married today on July 5th. I have had my hands full.

So...to begin with...You all are truly amazing. I am so Blessed to have such people as yourselves to teach, and who teach me. You inspire me in ways I could never have anticipated. I can't wait to see what everyone is creating from our Mothra class. The ones I've seen so far are astounding and I hope you share your Mothra with us. I just finished mine today, and like it better than the original one I painted to teach from.

Hey everyone! Looking forward to painting with you again on Saturday. Looks like Mothra won the poll in the student Facebook Group (join here if you haven’t already) for this month and I really cannot wait to see all the interpretations.

I've got two more paintings done to add to our selection and now it's time to decide which one will be for the upcoming class on June. Next week I'll let you know of any specific things that may be helpful to you in class for the painting we choose. Otherwise, you'll just need the basics I suggest in the intro video.

Everyone did so amazing with the Crow paintings. I'm having Linda do a post for Manos Monday on my fan page showing the paintings of those who granted permission and adding the link for signing up for classes. I just painted Mothra today, and here's this weeks blog post.

Crow T Robot was a success! You all are amazing. The creativity and interpretation of your paintings blow me away and I can't wait to see more. As you may have noticed, I was a little nervous and not entirely certain of how to teach it. The style is outside of my own comfort zone and I had to initially figure out how to create my own Crow. The plate as a tracing tool seemed to do just right. From there you all did your own thing and wow! If you haven't shared yours yet for our student gallery, please do and if you haven't painted one yet, I hope the posted works inspire you.

Hello fellow painters. I've had a very busy time lately and really looking forward to hanging out with you on Saturday. If you can't make it, no worries. As you know, we are also recording it and you'll be able to paint when it's convenient for you. The other great thing about the recording is the ability to take your time and come back to it if you want to add more or pause it for a break. Maybe you will come on Saturday to just watch and join in the chat. I love telling stories and am getting better at it with the many podcast interviews lately. Gotta mix things up, you know. Can't tell the same stories every time.

I've been accomplishing more than I thought I could handle lately. Had doubts for a while and had been doing a lot of inner discussion, but apparently wasn't keeping it all to myself when noticing people looking at me at the grocery store. Probably looked as though I was chatting with the shelved items.

Just like Torgo, I'm a little slow today. I will get there eventually, however.

Just a few more days until our first painting session. I want to be sure you have your supplies together and have a place to work, even if you do have a kitty who wants to help. I’m fortunate to have a space away from my little Mstie kitty, otherwise she would attempt to instruct the class.

As we get closer to our first online Mstie painting class, I continue to prepare and think of little things to make your experience as fun and informative as I can. Although I’ve been teaching painting classes for about 7 years, I’m new to this online version, and although I’ve done a few small online classes, it is certainly a different experience. The painting classes below were on Sunday at the local bar. Since we live in Bigfoot country, it seemed appropriate to begin our Spring classes on that note. Some of the participants have painted before and some had never painted, but as you can see, everyone did a great job. You can tell by their faces they think so too. I can’t wait to paint with you all soon.
