Airplay & Chromecast Beta, Vimeo On Demand Ending, and more updates from Dumb!
Hey gang. Chris here with another monthly update, which is basically gonna be bursting at the seams since I’m a few weeks later than usual.
First off, the big one: you are now able to Airplay and/or Cast any video on our website! This means you can now pull up The Dumb Clubhouse 24/7 feed or any video on demand and connect it to your streaming device so you can watch on your TV. If you’re Airplaying/Casting The Dumb Clubhouse 24/7 feed from your phone, you’ll still be able to access the live chat on your device while watching on your TV. This has been a feature we’ve been dreaming of since the very beginning, so we’re very excited to get your feedback on how it’s working for you.
Please keep in mind, this feature is in beta, and the ability to Airplay/Cast is largely dependent on your own personal setup. Many factors, including device capability, browser restrictions, privacy settings, internet signal, etc. can prevent this feature from working properly. We’re still dying to know how it works for you, so don’t be shy. Post in our Discord or email chris@dumb-industries.com with any feedback.

Secondly, for years folks have been requesting a Dumb T-Shirt of the Month Club, and we finally launched one with our resident artist Carmen Cerra over Fourth of July weekend! Subscribers will receive a new t-shirt every month designed by Carmen, starting with caricatures of some of our favorite B-movie stars including Peter Graves, Bela Lugosi, and Donald Pleasance. Carmen has been doing artwork for us for years, and to be honest, we’re a little obsessed with his work. Carmen not only did the artwork for every episode of The Mads Are Back from season 3 onwards, he also designed all the artwork you see in The Dumb Clubhouse, on top of every poster for Movies Are Dumb, and a lot of the artwork for The Mary Jo Pehl Show. Thirdly, The Dumb Clubhouse now has a leaderboard system! What the hell even is a leaderboard system? Well, allow me to explain! The Dumb Clubhouse now rewards points to members just by showing up, watching, chatting, entering giveaways, and more. You’ll also get points for daily streaks, so the more you watch, the more points you gain.
Every Monday, we’ll be announcing the Top 3 Clubhouse Members of the Week on our socials so you get bragging rights just for being Dumb. We’ll eventually be able to offer redeemable prizes for those in the top, so stay tuned on that. And let’s see how high you can climb the board!

🏆 How to earn Clubhouse Points ▾
- 👀Just watch — +1 every 5 min you're signed in in the Clubhouse.
- 💬Chat — +1 per message (once every couple minutes).
- 📅Show up — +10 the first time you chat each day.
- 🔥Daily streak — +5→25, growing each day in a row you show up.
- ⭐Get spotlighted — +25 when your message gets featured on stream.
- 🎁Enter a giveaway — +5 for joining a #dumbcontest.
Fourthly, and this one is a bit of a bummer: our old hosting site Vimeo On Demand is shutting down on November 20, 2026. Vimeo On Demand was Dumb Industries' primary distribution platform for downloads between November 2022 and April 2025. If you made any digital purchases or redeemed any downloads during that time, there's a very good chance it was done through Vimeo On Demand.
The good part: Your purchases are all still available to you by logging into your Vimeo account here.
The important part: All purchases made on Vimeo will only remain available through November 20, 2026, after which you'll no longer be able to access them. We highly recommend you log into your Vimeo account and back up all your purchases immediately — look for the download option on each title.
The 'wait-what?!' part: Some episodes of The Mads Are Back offered on Vimeo On Demand included streamable bonus content that wasn't downloadable, including many guest Q&A's. The good news: all episodes on our current platform, Gumroad, include both the "movie only" version and the "full livestream edition," so you can download the complete episode along with the guest Q&A's.
If you'd like to migrate any Vimeo purchase over to Gumroad, we're happy to offer you a 90% discount toward your purchased title. Just forward us your proof of purchase — an Eventbrite order confirmation, Vimeo receipt, screenshot/photo of your purchase, or a Dumb Industries receipt — to chris@dumb-industries.com. The 10% fee you'll pay helps cover the payment processing and bandwidth costs of the migration, with the remainder going directly to the artists.
