DARKSTAR: TERROR AT THE EDGE OF TIME: THE WATCH PARTY, is a movie-length version of the revolutionary video game DARKSTAR: THE INTERACTIVE MOVIE featuring commentary by Mystery Science Theater 3000 alumni and Darkstar cast members Trace Beaulieu, Frank Conniff, Beez McKeever, Mary Jo Pehl and J. Elvis Weinstein. Followed by a live Q&A with the cast and Darkstar creator J. Allen Williams.

Darkstar: The Interactive Movie, created by animator, writer, director and producer J. Allen Williams, was initially conceived in 2000 but was not released online until 2010. At its conception, Darkstar featured over thirteen hours of live action cinema, far more than any other full motion video game at the time. As Captain John O’Neil, players awaken from a 300-year cryogenic sleep to find the Earth has been destroyed and they have no memory of who they are or what they are meant to be doing. By exploring their 360 degree surroundings, players unlock over thirteen hours of film clips that together tell the entire story.

The game’s production and release was of particular interest to fans of the cult comedy series Mystery Science Theater 3000, as it starred several members of its original cast including Trace Beaulieu, Frank Conniff, Joel Hodgson, Beez McKeever, Mary Jo Pehl, and J. Elvis Weinstein. The game also starred Clive Robertson as Captain John O’Neil, and was the final work of actor Peter Graves, who narrated the game.

The cast's commentary is the very first time Beaulieu, Conniff, McKeever, Pehl or Weinstein have ever seen this version of the game. This also marks the first time MST3K cast members have “riffed” on themselves.
